王瑞杰祝贺中华人民共和国成立70周年,盛赞中国取得的巨大发展成就,表示新中友谊历久弥坚,合作广泛深入.新方高度重视合作机制建设,愿同中方一道,推动合作再攀高峰,使双边关系提升到更高层面,共同维护以规则为基础的多边贸易体制,共同应对全球挑战.
On October 15, 2019, Chinese Vice-Premier Han Zheng, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, met with Singaporean Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat in Chongqing.
Han Zheng said that China-Singapore relations are at a new starting point and he a good momentum of development. The leaders of the two countries he had frequent contacts, maintained regular communication, reached a series of new important consensus, and provided strategic guidance for the development of China-Singapore relations. The two sides should work to ensure tangible results, make good use of the mechani meeting platform, and continuously deepen practical cooperation in various fields. China's reform will not stagnate, but will only accelerate. China's door will never be closed. It will only open still wider. We welcome Singapore’s participation in China's reform and opening-up in a wider scope, in broader areas and at a deeper level. Under the current situation, the two sides should jointly resist unilaterali and protectioni and firmly uphold the international system based on multilaterali and international law with the United Nations as the core.
Heng Swee Keat congratulated the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and praised China's great development achievements. He said that the friendship between China and Singapore has grown stronger and the cooperation has been extensive and in-depth. Singapore attaches great importance to the construction of cooperation mechanis and is willing to work with China to push cooperation to a higher level so as to elevate bilateral relations to a higher level, jointly safeguard the multilateral trading system based on rules and jointly meet global challenges.
